Daylight Centre Fellowship is an independent local charity in the
East Midlands.
We strive to help people in Wellingborough and the surrounding districts of North Northamptonshire in meeting personal challenges that range from complex mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse, learning difficulties, to homelessness or just feeling fragile, isolated and alone.

Upon entering the Centre you will be greeted by Sharon...
She runs the busy office. Being first point of contact for most things is what makes it busy along with keeping track of what is going on. Sharon joined our staff team in 2009 after a period of unemployment. Having experienced homelessness herself, Sharon knows first hand the problems many of our users are facing and what it takes to overcome such difficulties.

Ian always has a smile on his face and leads end users through all of their available options...
He joined us a year ago and got the Centre open again in an uncertain climate and with tightly constrained resources. Ian has a background as a youth worker and community development manager, an assessor for NVQ and a training officer - all in the UK, and has also worked overseas. His passion is music and he inspired the recent ‘Benefit’ concert at our local theatre.

June cooks much of the food served in the Daylight Centre...
She is one of the volunteer team who are essential in the running of our kitchen. Using whatever is available (and what a wide variety of food we are given), she plans menus and keeps the deep freezers stocked. June knows well the likes and dislikes of her regular clientele. Service with a smile is what they value as well as a nutritious meal.

In the ‘back office’ – Roger is the volunteer chairman of the Trustees of this charitable company, responsible to the stake-holders for its direction and performance...
His professional career was as a social worker in this county, with responsibility for service provision by the Third Sector (well before that phrase was in common use) in the county. Roger had long involvement with the board of the local Volunteer Centre, and as a member of the Board of Visitors, now the Independent Monitoring Board, at Wellingborough prison. He is the diocesan link officer for Urban Priority Areas and the Church Urban Fund.

Handling much of the admin and infrastructure of the charity is volunteer Anne a past Chairman who takes a key role with partner agencies and wider aspects of the daily operations...
involved with Daylight soon after its inception but could not focus on its development plans until the end of her academic scientific research work. This prompts her interest in numbers, data analysis and record keeping which is so important for demonstrating the outcomes and impact of a charity such as Daylight.
